x-box in Beaches rooms?

In some reviews of the Beaches resort, there has been reference to in-room x-box consoles. Are these in every room, or just certain room categories?

Not to be rude, but WTF does it matter if there is X box available?

Redstripe: You just cracked me up! And Bruce...it's not just kids who use X-Box but I agree the OP is probably trying to keep the kids entertained. A few weeks ago, some guy wrote a review about Sandals Negril and was having a hissy fit because the DVD player he DEMANDED to be installed wasn't when he got there. It was for him...no kids in sight. Men and their toys...even in paradise! LOL.

But it's their vacation and to each their own...

Excellent choice! Beaches Negril is our long time favorite family resort in Jamaica. The 2 room categories that I am certain have an x-box in the room are the Caribbean Beachfront Concierge Family Suite & the Negril Beachfront Concierge Family Room. (Sandals resorts concierge level is now known as club elite but still concierge at Beaches resorts)

In the last 2 years our last 2 family vacations have been to Beaches Turks & Caicos so have been looking at a return to Beaches Negril. We like to go back and forth between the two as they are both our top choices for a family vacation, just fantastic.

You can go to the Beaches website and click on room descriptions of each room category to see if an x-box is listed as part of the room amenities.

I recommend you contact a Certified Sandals Specialist in your community to make your reservations. There will be no extra cost to you and he or she can answer all of your questions in detail and help you choose the room category that is best for your family.

Enjoy your stay at Beaches and your time in Negril!

NBLG - Thanks for the thoughtful response. We are booking the "Caribbean Beachfront Concierge Suite", and I would have our boys bring a couple of their favorite games from home for down time in the room (getting ready for dinner, etc) if there is one. Not a big deal either way :) We've been to Beaches OR and TC, so I'm sure we will become big fans of Negril as well!

I just checked the Beaches website and the description of your room category does not list an x-box. I would email the concierge staff in advance of your arrival and request one to be placed in your room. If they have an extra one which I would think they would, I am sure they would place it in your room with no extra charge for your stay. We have found the Concierge staff to be quite accommodating, and getting a confirmation that it will be possible in advance you would know to pack the kids games.

Enjoy!
