Visiting in August

We have a family group visiting Negril 8/2-8/10 staying at the Tree House. I heard there was a jet ski ban in place since our last visit last November. Any word if this is still in effect?

Yes, in Negril the ban is still in place at least until October.

Hi. We're planning to visit in Novmeber this year! Saw that you last visited in the month of November. How was your experience? I know Novmeber is the end of hurricane/rainy season. We're the attractions available during the month of Novmember, ie. snorkeling, zip lining, ect.

thanks

Attractions are available all year. They may not be available on individual days because of the weather, for example high waves.

Thank You. Are the attractions something you have to book prior to arriving or is that something you can decide to do on a whim at the resort? We are wanting to stay at Al because we are both nervous about first time flying, first time out of country, and first time alone. Thanks.

You do not need to book attractions in advance of arriving. When you arrive at your resort you can check out the tours they offer and the schedule for them and book accordingly. Most all inclusive resorts have a tour desk where you can talk to a customer service person that will help you find tours and book them.

November was fine. We visited over the Thanksgiving weekend. The water wasn't as nice as usual due to a storm that had just passed by out at sea, but that was not normal and after a couple days the water was back to it's usual beautiful self. As far as tours go, you can book before or when you get there. There is no shortage of people ready to take you out to the different places.
