does this still exist?

Taken from an old port antonio forum post:

"6. If you want an out of body experience, there's always the mineral bath. About a 30-45 minute drive away, the Milk Mineral Bath will cure what ails you. It's 140F water coming straight off of the rock, and there will be "doctors" there who will massage you with special oils(another secret) and just bathe you in the water. And he's gonna wet your towel with it, so might wanna take a spare. He said that this would cure anything, and his special method would cleanse you completely. I left feeling like a new woman. If you go, ask the driver to take you in the back way where the locals go, otherwise you can go in through a hotel closeby, but the other way is more fun. :)"

It sounds like Bath in st Thomas... Which is the only hot water springs I know about in that area... More like an hour and a halfish away tho... It's also a bit more commercial than that (there's a quaint old hotel with official baths with the fairly aggressive people who offer massages from the "river source" as described)

Milk river on the other hand is in clarendon about 4 or 5 hours at least from Portland...

There are other mineral spas, but those two are the most popular

Ah just reread... It's bath they are talking about... But their isn't a "back way in" persay... There's a (often muddy) side road/path you walk along to get to what they say is the "source"... Some enjoy the more "local" experience... Some have been very intimidated by it... It wouldn't stop raining the day we went to bath so we stuck to the hotel... Loved it tho and will go back...

I agree with Chell, it sounds like Bath. Milk River spring is not very hot, it does however have the hotel section and an unofficial site like bath. Plenty of Rasta'soffering massages at Bath fountain, have not seen them at Milk River.
