Hotels in Kingston en Port Antonio and zipline

We have plans to visit Jamaica in July 2012 (my husband, son of 9 and myself). As we live in Curacao, we will land in Kingston.

First we will stay 2 days in or nearby Kingston to visit a friend who is living there.

Then we intend to stay in Zion Country Beach Cabins for 5 days, to enjoy the forest and raft on the Rio Grande.

After 5 days we think about staying at Jamaican Colors in Long Bay for 7 days and then go back to Curacao.

We have not found a nice hotel/lodge/appartment near Kingston yet. Anyone have a suggestion. max 150 USD a night? If possible with 2 bedrooms.

My son likes to zipline. Is there a zipline near Port Antonio? I found them in Montego Bay and Ochos Rios. but that maybe to far from our accommodation.

We like to hear your suggestions!

In Kingston...Spanish Court or Liguanea Club are worth a look. Not sure of any ziplines in Portland area, not enough tourist traffic to warrant that I think...but a day trip to Ocho Rios would get it done if it's a must.

Plans changed.

No Zion Country, we think it's to basic, for what we like on our holiday.

Unfortunately Jamaican Colors has only 1 bedroom bungalows. Does anyone know an accommodation in Portland with 2 bedrooms about 100 USD a night with pool?

Ocho Rios area probably has the nearest zip lines, but that's some distance from Port Antonio.

The best zip line near Ocho Rios (and there are other 'outdoor adventures' at the venue) are probably at Hevans Scent. The scenic views from the property at Bamboo are wonderful and that property is most likely to offer interest for the whole family. You could book two rooms at Ivanhoes in Port Antonio for about $100 total. Great location if you don't have a car - walk to beach, downtown or taxis/buses in 5 minutes.

Amazing sea and mountain views, very clean rooms and bathrooms, good water pressure, safe, friendly staff and management. AC rooms available but really not at all necessary with the location (high up breezes by water) and powerful fans.

Nice food served there but you have to order ahead (like the night before). Close to lots of places to eat.
