Jewel RB-bound in May- what should I NOT miss + questions

Finalized vacation plans today. Headed to Jewel RB with my hubby and 2 kids. Looking forward to the beautiful beach and activities.

What things should I not miss while there?

On my list are:

1. Snorkeling off the beach

2. Jerk Sausage/Chicken Pizza

3. Yoga on the beach

4. Per son: Laser tag with Dad

5. Per daughter: Grooming horses

My questions are:

1. Is there a place to inflate pool toys/rafts?

2. Cost of glass bottom boat/catamaran rides

3. Can you really get to James Bond beach via glass bottom boat ride?

4. Excursion to per dolphins at Dolphin Cove - who to book with?

Thanks so much. So happy I found this resort. :)

Thats a tall list bizzy, but let see what I can tell you.

*Snorkeling - YES, so many colorfull fish close to shore

*Jerk Sausage/Chicken Pizza - OH yeah, not to be missed.

*Yoga on the beach- sounds like work, LOL.

*Laser tag with Dad- absolutly, a very fun course they have laid out.

*Grooming horses- Sounds like fun but check to see if they have this activity set up yet.

*Is there a place to inflate pool toys/rafts?- Possibly at the dive shop. If not you can use the "tulips station" (sorry if this joke does not land. LOL) But foam floats are available

*Cost of glass bottom boat/catamaran rides?- Not sure on the cost of the boat trip. Small cat rides are included with your stay.

*Can you really get to James Bond beach via glass bottom boat ride? I don't beleive so. The GB boat normally just runs the outer reef in from of the resort.

*Excursion to per dolphins at Dolphin Cove - who to book with? You can book a the JTL tour desk right at the resort entrance. FYI, it's a bit costly.

Hope you find this helpfull. If you have any further questiosn feel free to ask.

Have a great time.

Enjoy!

Also not to be missed is beach party night, buffet and show on the beach. Mondays nights! The great entertainment staff and house band put on one heck of a show.

I thought that the glass bottom boat ride is free. The pizza is excellent and they have different kinds of pizza during the day then at night!!! Omar has great exercise classes on the beach in the morning ( I cheered them on from my beach chair) and then the exercise class in the pool @ 11:00 or 11:30. You sound like you have a lot planned so take time to enjoy the beautiful resort and wonderful people!!!!

I would contact Keisha Richards about that. She is the Concierge manager. The only restaurant you will need to reserve is the Japanese.

Thanks for the email. I see you can walk down the beach to Flavors restaurant. Have you been? What do you think of the food? Where can I get a good beef pattie while down there? Do they have a "pattie man" like in Negril?

@Bizzy, we have been to Flavours many times. A great way to meet and talk with some wonderful locals. The place is owned by a past GM of the old Breezes. The food is ok but can tend to be slightly over priced. Patties can be found on resort. If you don't see them at the buffet just ask and I'm sure they will be able to help.

don't miss the Silver Birds steel drum show either! Here are some videos I took while there in January- does not include the pizza place since that is brand new! Loved it there...and would love to take my kids there someday!

here's the link...then click on the place where it says 13 videos by my name and you can get a little tour of the resort..

and here's my photos- I think I put some on there of our walk down to Flavors. We showed up for the "off resort walk" late afternoon one day and one of the staff members walked with us to Flavors, then we took the beach back.

Fun!
