I think which one has the nicest beach, and food would also be important. Thanks for your help

We had the same decision to make in April and chose Jewel Runaway Bay. We loved it - the beach was great and we enjoyed the smaller resort. Lounges were always available on the beach or at the pool at any time. Only two a la carte restaurants, (Italian and Japanese) but the Italian restaurants changes their menu during the week. The pizza restaurant is fabulous and they make the pizzas to order. The buffet is also very good. Everything is only a 5 minute walk away. If you want closer to the beach where the pools, lunch bar and buffets are located, I suggest you book "waterview" room.

If the beach is important , IMO Jewel Runaway Bay has the nicest beach anywhere on the north coast of Jamaica. Unless you are interested in choosing Negril instead then you won't find a nicer beach that JRB.

The beach at Jewel Runaway Bay is a natural beach and there is a very long public beach to the right. Along that beach is a great Jamaican eatery/pub called Flavours. It is a smaller resort and built with a Jamaican flavor.

The beach at GBP is smallish and mostly man-made; my impression is that GBP is more of a pool-oriented resort. For my taste, GBP is far too large and could be located on any island.
