El Conquistador Resort-Waldorf Astoria

There are 3 of us girlfriends traveling to PR for the first time and staying at the El Conquistador Resort (ages 28-30)..Any suggestions or advice on this location itself? Pros and cons? Any comments in reference to their spa?

We are basically looking for a relaxing weekend but are also open to any fun activities that may be available, besides the rainforest and biobay kyaking? Thanks!

I have not stayed here myself, but it is wonderful hotel on the hillside overlooking the sea.

The resort has its own off-shore cay for water activities.

I basically wanted to bump this one up, before it gets lost in the shuffle, for a forum member who's stayed at El Conquistador.

You will not go wrong with El Conquistador. The scenery is beautiful, the staff very attentive and you will be in a premier resort in PR. Michael Jordan was reported to own a villa at the resort. The hotel owns a little cay which they take you in catamaran and drop you there for the day. Very nice. There are several rests at the hotel and a casino. You can also rent a car and explore the rainforest and other beaches around the area. there are several pools at the resort.

Enjoy your stay! It is a lovely place.

I've stayed there and at the Casita's several times. I like it a lot. It is a truly self contained resort. Everything you need. Issues. Pricey food and drink. You can easly go all site to a grocery to get your supplies. There are also many places to eat off the resort. Do a search on the forum. There are lots of comments and discussions on the El Con or La Casitas.
