I have looked up recent related posts but still have some decision making to do and could use feedback. We're looking to do a 5-7 day trip to the Caribbean in late spring...though we could all use the break, this trip is really for my mother-in-law, and we want to make sure she enjoys it. She is easy to please--sun and a beach chair and diet pepsi and she's happy, especially with two grandkids around. Those would be our kiddos, 8 mo and 3 yrs old. I just want a direct flight, relaxing vibe, happy kids, amazing customer service, and maybe one romantic dinner out with hubby. Would be nice to escape the resort for brief trips.
We are trying to decide between:
- Beaches Turks & Caicos (all inclusive is both an extremely appealing and somewhat overwhelming option)
- A stay at either Las Casitas, Caribe Hilton or Rio Mar in Puerto Rico (where my mother is from, so that is appealing) Possibly 2 nights in city before venturing out?
- A property in Barbados--possibly Cobbler's Cove? My MIL loves the English-style furnishings.
If you have been to these resorts/islands and can offer any input into my exhaustive, decision-making-stalemate I would really appreciate it. We don't get to travel much anymore and I want to do it right.
