Crowded is a relative term. Yes, there are a lot more people in Rincon in the winter than in the summer. However, in all the times I have been to Rincon, there have never, ever been anywhere CLOSE to the amount of people on a beach than there are in RI in the summertime. Even the surfing lineups remain (to me) fairly uncrowded unless there is a major swell running.

MId week is usually not to bad. The weekends can find a crowded beach. Local, love the beach too and they are off on weekends.

Hi Davvbell,

Rincon is a small, although spread out, beach town. We do not have any stop lights, no chain resturants, or chain hotels. You will be here durring high surf season, wich is great to surf, leran to surf, or watch. Our beaches will have people, but they are not over crowed, even on weekends. The north part of town, Puntas, is for surfing. The south part of town, is where our swimming beaches are. Here is a link for our map of Rincon:

Enjoy Puerto Rico and Rincon to the Fullest!!
