Worth the trip?

We're planning a family (3 teens) vacation in PR this December.

Planning 4 nites in old San Juan ( with trip to rainforest and biobay) and 4 nights at Shacks Beach near Isabela to snorkel and horseback on the beach. We're considering shortening SanJuan and flying to Culebra to stay one night at Flamenco Beach. Wondering if it's worth the trip and cost. Don't want to risk the ferry as I've read that it can be "iffy" getting on during high season.

1. Re: Worth the trip?

Culebra is "worth it" for the snorkeling and beautiful beaches.

But I don't think it's "worth it" for just 1 night. If you're going to expend the effort to get there and acquire lodging, stay for at least 2 nights.

We've put together a "top 20" things to do on Culebra article in our blog ... www.puertoricodaytrips.com/culebra-top-20/
