Three Kings Day?

Staying In OSJ for a number of days and then flying home at around 3pm on January 6th, Three Kings Day.

What should we expect that morning? Anything fun to do? Celebrations, Festivals?? Any restaurants open? Any streets to be closed?

We are jewish so attending a church service is not really up our alley but we love to party and celebrate everyones culture and religion!

It will be busy in Old San Juan, because they will have all kinds of Activties for the children , very crowded. Most Restaurants will be closed, except for the Hotel Restaurnts

There will be tons of traffic heading into OSJ, not so much heading out. You might have to walk down towards the Sheraton in order to get a cab, as some of the streets might be closed.

Ask around to see which restaurants will be open so you can plan your day.

We were there 3 Kings Day last year, got acquainted with a couple who were standing in this long line of people waiting for a free bus, and they talked us into going along. (May be one of the locals can tell me where we were?) The 3 Kings were there giving out gifts to all the children, and there was lots of good entertainment. Definitely a different, interesting PR experience for us!

If you were in the San Juan area, you probably were at the Municipality of San Juan's Three Kings celebration. If you were at the Juana Diaz town area, you participated in one of the biggest traditional parties celebrated in the island Jan. 6.

to really celebrate the Día de los Reyes Magos you have to get away from San Juan, the biggest and most traditional celebrations are in the heartland of Puerto Rico.

Where in Old San Juan wil the "party" be? Is more so around the piers or central or everywhere?

Also, for lunch, I understand the restaurants will be closed but will there at least be access to street food?
