Cueva Ventana

Does anyone know if Cueva Ventana still open? We read that it has been closed to the public.

Thanks

Who owns the site? Is the site gated and Is there a reception booth or building? Sorry for all of the questions, I'm anticipating a visit in the future.

It is privately owned and the owner has a gate across the trail. They have a table set up at the gate to take payment (I assume cash only). I am awaiting notice of hours of operation.

Thanks Flowerfarm and Bunny.

The article mentions that there have been complaints by tourists and local visitors that construction at the site was impeding access to the site. There was also concern about the environmental impact of any construction or improvements to the site. It stated that hundreds of people converge on the site daily.

PR's DRNA sent a geologist to the site and the investigation findings indicate that there was no damage done to the habitat. A meeting was held with the owners of the property, Enhancers, Inc. by a representative from DNRA to give recommendations on how to go about making improvements in accord with the law. There was no mention of what the improvements are.
