Feedback on our itinerary

We have 18 days in PR this December although 7 days will be on a cruise, this is the itinerary I am going with based on these forums and other sites. Anything glaringly wrong with it?

Day 1 : Land in PR Sat night, hire car and drive to hotel in SJ Old Town (not interested in beaches in SJ)

Day 2 : Spend the day exploring SJ by foot

Day 3 : Leave SJ and drive to Yunques for the day and then finish in Luquillo and spend the night there

Day 4 : Drive to Ceiba and leave car, fly to Culebra

Day 5 : Culebra

Day 6 : Culebra

Day 7 : Culebra

Day 8 : Fly to SJ to board cruise

Day 8 - 14 : Cruise...

Day 15 : Hire car and drive to Rincon

Day 16 - 18 : Stay in Rincon as a base an explore other places on the west coast (TBC), surf, yoga etc etc

Day 19 - Return to SJ by car and fly home

Any feedback on that would be appreciated.

As we like the look of the beaches in Culebra and on the cruise we aren't interested in the beaches with massive hotels in SJ to much. And will use Culebra to relax, and take some time out, and also hopefully do some diving, so would need the 3 days to be able to dive safely!

Where is the best place in PR to dive?

Sounds great to me. The night that you are staying in Fajardo, you should go on the Bio Bay Kayak trip. A very unique experience. If you like Caves, you can go to Cueva Ventana on Rd. # 10 from Arecibo to Utuado, or the Camuy Caves. I love going horesback riding in Isabela at Tropical Trail rides. Stop at Rincon Lighthouse, Cabo Rojo Lighthouse. San Sebastian Waterfall called Gozalandia,

I agree with Bunny123 recommendations.

There are plenty of diving opportunities in Rincon as well, there is a natural sea reserve area Tres Palmas so you will see tons of rare to find corals, so enjoy your stay. Also there is a Yoga opportunity in Rincon.

If you like extreme diving, there is a dive called "la pared" - 150 feet drop dive !!! It is done out of Guanica, about 1 hour -1hr 20 min drive from Rincon.

Your schedule seems doable and covers many of the top things to do.

Your trip is very do-able.

Yes, we thought the best diving was down at The Wall, but diving out at Desecheo (off of Rincon ) was very good too. Lots of neat dive-through close to shore.

Culebra has decent diving, not a lot of big stuff (except turtles usually), but usually nice and not difficult.
