Can I text or call in Puerto Rico and Culebra?

We will be in Rincon for 6 nights and Culebra for 3. We have Verizon for phone service. Will we be charged for calls or texts?

Thanks!

PR=US, so no roaming or long distance charges if you have a national plan. Verizon does not have towers in PR, so the phone might display a roaming signal. Their internet can also be slow.

I would suggest to call Verizon and ask if you could purchase a roaming minutes package just in case, it will better for you just in case you might have to use the phone wile in roaming. With a roaming minutes package it will be less expensive.

We used AT&T, calling and texting and there were no roaming charges at PR is part of the U.S.

Phone might display roaming due to lack of towers, but you will not be charged.
