Isla Verde Beach

We are staying at ESJ Towers. I know the beach is public and 2 miles long. Are we able to rent chairs anywhere along the beach and are good clean restrooms frequent? No problem grabbing a quick lunch either? Just thought if we happen to be there when there is more seaweed than normal we would walk to a cleaner area or would that matter?

Also can we have lunch at one of the hotels if we walk from the beach. We would wear respectable beach attire. We are looking forward to exploring the entire area and was hoping we would not feel that we had to stay in one area of the beach.

Thank you

The beach sand is cleaned regularly so that seaweed should not be a problem unless you happen to be there right after a storm. The Intercontinental hotel has a beach grill.

Isla Verde is San Juan nicest beach. You will find plenty of lounge chairs and umbrella rental places. As for restaurants right on the sand of Isla Verde beach try Ciao Mediterranean, La Playita and Café la Plague. Beach attire is fine.

There are no public restrooms on Isla Verde beach area. You would need to use those in the restaurants that you will be having lunch.

Thanks I am very surprised that there are no restrooms on a 2 mile public beach but good to know!

All beaches are public. 300 miles of them. Isla Verde is more like Miami Beach, High Rises and shops. You are staying on the beach and will have the use of your facilities.

Got it.................Isla Verde is like Waikiki, not like beaches on Maui which I was thinking of! Thanks for the info. This trip will be be a bit different than we have done in the past, but that is exactly why we are looking forward to it!
