West Coast Beaches

I read that the best surfing beaches are on the West coast of PR. Does this make them too rough or windy to enjoy the shoreline with non-surfer teens? We are looking for a beach with resort condos, nice pool(s), access to adventure trips, a market and restaurants. Is there one on the West coast?

The west coast does not have any resorts nor chain hotels on the beach. All the restaurants on the west coast will require a car ride to get to them.

Instead, I suggest that you look at the hotels in Isla Verde, Condado, or Rio Grande.

There is Rincon by the Seas hotel. It is a nige large hotel with a good beachfront. Water is calm most of the year and they have kayaks for rentals. Restaurant is good, and pool has a swim up bar.

There is another hotel beachfront, Rincon Beach Resort, but it's location is not the best as it is on the further side of Rincon (actually it is closer to Añasco). Resort amenities are so so .

Copamarina Beach Resort in Guanica. Is located in a biosphere reserve designated by the United Nations. It haves a lot beautiful beaches and some cays near the resort. http://www.copamarina.com/
