Last Minute Questions - This or that

Will be in San Juan over Labor Day weekend. Currently have a reservation at the Marriott Resort and Stellaris and Conrad San Juan and need to make a final decision on which hotel in the next week or so. Any pros/cons for either? The price difference is about 20 bucks.

Also are there any hotel shuttles to get from the airport to the hotel, rather than taking a taxi. And what's the cost.

Also can anyone recommend a tour company to see the forts or is it a tour on your own set up? Have already toured the Rum Factory, so no need to revisit.

Any other tips for the visit greatley appreciated.

My vote is for Condado Plaza Hotel (conrad). It has the best ocean front view rooms in Condado and the hotel lobby was renovated not long ago into a beautiful elegant and modern lobby.

hotels located in San Juan do not offer shuttle service. Taxi is the only way.

My vote goes to Conrad! You do not really need a tour company to make an OSJ tour . Get a map of the area either at your hotel or at the Casita de Turismo (by the OSJ piers) and check th ewebsite of Eyetour Puerto RIco for downloadable videos of the different attactions. Allow at least 5 hrs for your tour, bring sunblock, comfy shoes and a hat or cap.

There are at least 2 companies that do interesting tours in OSJ - Legends of PR and the Segway tour, but in my opinion, the best tour is the one you make by your own, stopping here and there and exploring thoroughly what really interests you.

You can get from Corrad to OSJ either using the public bus or a taxi, make astop at La Bombonera for great PR coffee and Mallorcas w/ butter and lunch at Cafe MAnolin, for a real PR lunch.

Hi Diva, I also love the Conrad Condado Plaza, but make sure you get either an ocean or lagoon view room. Even so the Marriot has some advantages. Its location is in the middle of the Condado, close to La Concha and other hot spots. the CCP is down at the end of the strip. Also the marriot has an ocean beach, while the beach at CCP fronts the inlet to the lagoon. An oceanfront corner room at the Marriot is comparable to the ocean front at CCP
