what kind of room at La Concha

Planning a trip to La Concha. Wondering which type of room we (2 of us) should book. Deluxe oceanfront vs Junior Suite with ocean view. Are there certain parts of the hotel that are newer or offer better views?

the suites tower is a new building with an interior atrium. think embassy suites style. all rooms here are suites with a kitchen and living room. the other building is a regular "1 big wall" facing the ocean. i believe the junior suites are like the deluxe oceanfront but with about 50% more space for a sitting area with more furniture

In addition to what sbenus mentioned, the Oceanfront rooms have balconies that face directly to the ocean. The ocean view suites building is sideways to the ocean, so depending on the location of your suite, you may have to be out in the balcony in order to see the ocean and may not be able to see the ocean when inside the room. So is a decision of what is best for you a larger room or a better view.

we upgraded to an ocean view room--- room 953 in the suites section.

it was very quiet- our cleaning staff was excellent and it was nice to have a separate room.

you should ask for victor -- the concierge when you check in or when you call.

he will hook you up :)
