Isla Verde Beaches - hotels w day use pass or on our own?

We want to go Isla Verde and spend the afternoon on the beach. Are there places where you can rent chairs or should we bring our own gear? Or is it worth it to go to one of the nice hotels and see if they offer a day pass to use their facilities?

I am not familiar with hotels that offer day passes, but you could save that money and just go to the beach behind the Intercontinental Hotel, they have a great beach bar (Ciao Mediterraneo) where you can order drinks and food, also in this area there are beach chairs and umbrellas available for rent. Also, watersports rentals nearby. Since you are not a hotel guest you cannot use their pool, but why would you want to use the pool when you have a spectacular beach.

The only hotel that I know offers day passes is the Marriott Stellaris in Condado.

I agree with the post above. There's no need for a hotel pass when you can rent a chair from the vendor(s) on the sand or bring your own.

All beaches are public in PR. You can come and go as you please. The hotels are happy to sell you food and beverages. You just would not be able to use the hotel facilites, Pool, Spa etc. You can get ice and beverages across the street and hit the beach.
