Best to do?

Leaving next week with my husband for 4 nights, staying in San Juan. What are the must dos? Any shopping areas that are a little different? Restaurants? Thanks!

Shopping areas that are a little different... If you want to shop in other than tourist traps, go to Río Piedras. It has many little stores with better prices than in Old San Juan or shopping malls. In some cases you can even haggle the price. :)

Besides the streets there is a pedestrian area, Paseo de Diego, with more stores. Also, do not miss Plaza del Mercado. There you can also eat local food.

I assure that there you will find very few tourists, or none at all. :)

The whole area is within walking distance and easily accessible by public transportation. If you want to try it, let everyone know here for directions.

Must do is a Bio-Bay tour. Check out the East Island excursions tour to Vieques.
