Best dinner options

We are arriving in San Juan on a Sunday afternoon around 4:30pm. We are staying in Humacao at Palmas Del Mar.

What are the best dinner options for a Sunday afternoon/evening en route to Hunacao from San Juan airport (SJU)?

We are a family of 4 with 2 kids (pre-teens).

So looking for good, affordable, kids-friendly restaurants.

Thanks.

Your best bet would be to stop somewhere in Isla Verde. There would be plenty of fast food joints and chain restaurants along the highway on your way to Humacao, but not many local restaurants right off the highway.

In Isla Verde, try Bebo's cafe or Made in Puerto Rico. Metropol is also good but overpriced imo.

Luquillo is about half way between the airport and Humacao. I suggest you try the Kioscos which is right off Rt 3 in Luquillo. While a number of them close on Sunday, there should be about a half dozen open with good options.

Just one light down from the Kioscos just off the main entrance to the Town is the Brass Cactus which is a good pub like place with a menu which is kid friendly and reasonably priced.

WTP, i think it takes longer to get to Humacao through Luquillo/Fajardo than going through Caguas. Or maybe that's not the case anymore with RT66?
