PR=USA and this will be a domestic flight. Although you do not go through Immigration, all your papers should be in order. Officers of Border Control are sometimes at the gates verifying documents.

Well you should get your Visa renewed. But as far at PR. There is no customs as it is part of the US. Just like flying to Orlando. Only difference is an Agricultural inspection on departure.

You can get in trouble staying in the USA ( including PR) with an expired Visa. That actually makes you illegal
