what are the must sees in El Yunque?

Going to Puerto Rico in the spring and want to experience the rainforest. We are middle aged and in decent shape but not hikers by any stretch of the imagination. What trails would be good hiking for the average traveler? What ones would be too much?

Must sees include Juan Diego Falls, the peak of El Yunque and La Roca. The "hike" to the peak is not that difficult.

Trails for the average traveler include Bano de Oro trail, Big Tree trail, the lower part of El Yunque trail (connects to Bano de Oro at the old fireplace), Caimitillo trail (though it doesn't provide any real vistas), Angelito trail (to the river).

Trails that would be too much for the average traveler include Tony Croatto trail, El Toro trail, Tradewinds trail, and La Coca trail.

We've put a trail map in our blog ... puertoricodaytrips.com/el-yunque-trail-map/ There are also trail descriptions for each trail.

Take the 1 hr apx orientation tour at the visitor's center and they will tell you all you need to know and suggest the best trails for you. It's very cheap and informative.
