'public' pool?

We're heading to Vieques in about 5 weeks...can't wait! Is there a hotel/bar/restaurant with a pool that we can use if we have lunch at the restaurant? We have two kids in tow, so we'd be looking for a kid-friendly place. Thanks!

No! Not here ( very uncommon anywhere), best to rent a place with a pool

We were pleasantly surprised in the Abacos (Bahamas) last year that if you ordered lunch and/or drinks you could use the pool at various hotels. I was hoping we'd get lucky and the same idea would apply here! Oh well, thanks for the response. I assume all the fabulous beaches will keep us and the kids more than happy!

Gosh........ Vieques has beaches which are clearer, cleaner, nicer and healthier than any swimming pool! Salt water is lighter to swim and has many benefits, like iodine. Even if there was a public pool available I would skip it and go directly to the original & best swimming pool= the beach!!

Even the cleanest swimming pools (public & private) are bactris and irritaion focuses & cause ear infections and other ailments, especially in kids. The ocean actually and ironically helps heal all that!

We had lunch at a restraunt in Old San Juan that had an indoor pool. I do not remember the name of it, but it was very near the pigeon park that overlooks the cruise ship docks. It looked like at night it might have been a bit wilder!! Maybe it was actually a big hot tub!!
