Few Question

Hello everyone,

I am traveling to the island from January 26-31. This has been a must see vacation for me. NYC has kicked my a!! the last two years. After working 65 hour weeks, I decided I finally needed a break. My girlfriend and I are both going on this trip

I do have a few questions.

For this trip, privacy and intimacy will be very important. I am looking to rent a vacation home. Not knowing much about the island, is this advisable? I want to be able to ask someone advice along the way, and not just on this forum.

Also, if not, what is a hotel / b+b that would private intamcy and a view of the ocean?

Thats my only question for right now.

Thanks!

Quinta Jabali is what you need. We've been there. Private, 180 degree Caribbean view spectacular. Check out their website.

You can also check out our videos and pics of the place here, if your interested:

Hope the helps some and I would be glad to field any questions you have, although there are others here with much more expience that us.

Oh...and I hope you are not talking about Jan of 2012 because your probably not going to have enough time to book a place now, let alone get a car. It's peak season. If that IS what your talking about, the first thing I would do is get to calling the rental car companies fast.

Ok.

Thanks. Car Rental is taken care of.

Unfortunately, the place you recommended is not available until May 2012.

Any other recommendations?

When you say car rental is taken car of...do you mean you already have a car? The reason I ask is that you are going to have a VERY HARD time getting one this close to your trip. I usually book cars 6 months in advance.

Regarding other places to stay...check out Viequestourism.com, Vrbo.com and Homeaway.com These are the sites that we use for rentals. If you can't find the sites, there are links to them on my blog. I believe I can't post the links to those sites here because of TOS limitations.

There's a house in La Hueca, near Quinta Jabali...I think it's called Casa Vaca. It's nice too. I'll have to check to see if I can find it.

Oh...just remembered another one "Banana Wind". It's really nice.

Worst come to worst, Ill stay at HOtel Tamarindo. I put a deposit down there for a secluded room.

I called a rental company above and made a reservation.

I'm going to look around at some more places and see. If no availablity, I can stay at Hotel Tamarindo.

My schedule doesnt allow for planning vacations that far in advance.

edit: banna wind no t available. Oh well.

Hacienda Tamarindo is a very nice place, we've stayed there. You'll have a great time there. Sounds like you've got that covered already. Now just get that car and you'll be set.
