Food Service at Isla Grande?

Hey gang;

It's been a long time since we used Isla Grande, so we're looking to find out if there's a place to grab lunch before our flight to VQS?

If not we'll take a later flight than the one we're looking at & grab lunch at SJU before cabbing it to SIG.

Thanks!!

Grab your lunch at SJU, there is nothing new at Isla Grande, unless you want to go for lunch to Ficus (it's open again) at the Sheraton or to Sizzler's.

a few weeks ago the little cafe at isla grande was open. you can get basic food like burgers fries grilled cheese etc there. otherwise, one of you go to wendys while the other gets your luggage if you want to save time. of go to one of the eateries at sju. there is a new tropical cafe opened in terminal b which is nice. plus there is a subway and a baked potato place and dominos and a chicken place.

...or you can take a very short taxi ride to Metropol in Isla Verde, right next to SJU. It's a Cuban diner that serves PR specialties where many of the locals go.

I wrote about the Isla Grande cafe on my blog. It's a trip!

(I'm sure some wiseacre will remove this link in time, but take a look before it disappears)

LOL! Had read it before, but the refresher was welcome!

As it turns out, there's nothing from SIG that's late enough for us, so we'll be cooling our heals at SJU for a little longer than hoped.

well, if you have alot of time to spare, why not cab it over to Ceiba. it turns out to be about the same price as flying from isla grande. and you can go to kmart or something on the way if you have time. certainly enough time to stop somewhere and eat.

especially if you have two or more hours to wait at SJU.

i like it better because the flight is only about 8 minutes instead of 25.
