Must go to

We are winding down our trip the next few days and absolutely love it here. Unfortunately, today is an inside day for us due to sun burning yesterday on our Little Boat snorkeling tour! We have Friday and Saturday full days but need to have some shade. Any must go to places? Was in total awe of Playa Plata btw and would go back....are any others similar?

We liked walking on Green Beach- lots of palm trees for shade and dozens of conch shells that we peeked inside of (we had a 6-year-old and an 11-year-old at the time)

We wouldn't say it's a *must see* but the fort can be a nice diversion. Some artifacts and often some local art on display plus great views.

The beach at Sun Bay has better opportunities for shade than most others.

Keep slapping that aloe on every 30 minutes and you'll get back out there sooner.

There is a mostly shaded hike we took, you go half way to red beach and take the gravel road to the right. Stop at the second trail head. From there you can go 3 ways it is mapped on the sign., not too far.... left is I think Garcia Beach, but you can view it from the jungle. Straight is an elevated view reminded me of Arcadia Maine. To the right is a fun jungle path that leads to a small beach. There is a hammock in the shade there, but watch out for the sand fleas.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions! These boards have been invaluable to my trip planning. We will have to plan to come back to complete everything that we want to do. We've done dinner with Waldo at our house, Little Boat Sailing snorkel trip with Jorge and got lobsters off the boat today at the fish market. Tomorrow night is the bio bay tour. What a wonderful place!

Anyway, all 3 views have zero sign of human habitation.

We had paella with shellfish with Waldo. It was great but he's a big part of the charm of it. Great guy....says he's going to stop doing as much soon so I'm glad we had the opportunity!
