What's October like on St Barts? I am thinking about doing a few days in October but with it being the off season, will stores and restaurants be closed? Will it be a ghost town?

1. Re: October

The same rules apply in October as September...still hurricane season, restaurants and hotels still closed...but there will be more than enough open to keep you from starving for a few days!

If you can handle the weather risk, then go for it!

We did our trip in October 07 and although much was closed...much was open as well..The best thing about the island during this time VERY..VERY QUIET.

Don't think about hurricane..you'll be fine.

Best of luck..!

More is open in October than September. The island really gets back into full swing by about October 15.
