High season vs Holiday/X-Mas season

Guys

Apart from accomodation and car rental, are there other things I'd be paying more for a vacation dec 18-24 vs after Jan 15?

Also i'm having trouble finding affordable under $100 accommodation - can someone recommend a few sites?

Thanks

No, January 15th is still High Season". While some hotels/resorts have slightly higher room rates during the week or so surrounding Christmas you are going to find rates will essentially be the same after January 15. The major difference is many hotels/resorts have minimum stay requirements during Christmas time rather than "raise rates. You usually won't see rates drop until after Easter (think mid-to-late April).

Doubtful you'll see car rental rates drop anytime during the year.

Lastly, use the "Hotels" link on the left side of this page - several places list rooms starting in the $100/night range but the only way to know if those rates apply during the dates you want to travel is to contact the hotel directly.

stbarthcommuter.com/villa/Malacca_apartment.…

This one bedroom apartment listed on St. Barth Commuter Airline website may fit you budget, and it's a great location in Gustavia.

Good luck & enjoy your trip, B

Budget accomodation and St Barts are mutually exclusive....typically never found in the same sentence.

Don't know about the other 2, but it certainly will be cheaper.
