Caribbean St Barthelememy

We're looking forward to vacationing on St Barts with another couple (we're late 30's) and have made some decisions on what kind of place we want to stay. We'd also like to rent owner-direct since we're on something of a budget as well.

1st choice was Villa Flamands Blue (great owner, views, location, well maintained)--- friends love it on their regular trips...unfortunately it's booked our dates. Private would be nice since we all like to occasionally tan without suits. Maybe we are being too picky? Checking to see if anyone here has suggestions, thanks!

Otherwise, we just bag our preferred dates and book with Jeff the owner of FB.

Hi Mary

Take a look at Villa Sky Vista. It's located high up in Gustavia, next to the Gendarme fort (no, you don't hear ony sirens). I have stayed there several times and I highly recommend it, perfect for two couples. There are equal bedrooms on opposite sides of the pool, each with it's own full bath. The view is just stunning, and it's very private. It rents by owner. It has been several years since I've stayed there, but if it's the same manager/housekeeper, she's the best!

Have a wonderful vacation.

Binti,

that place looks great. We stayed in Gustavia one of our first trips. While it's convenient to restaurants & shopping, we found it too busy for what we were looking for in a relaxing St Barts vacation and a long way from a nice beach. We've been to Flamands Blue, the villa looks nicer than the website and the American owner is easy to work with.
