Sandals Grande St. Lucia or Sandals Antiqua

Hi>

Planning my honeymoon for June 2008 and wondering if anyone been to these places. I appreciate any feedback you can offer.

Thanks

I have been to neither of the sandals resorts, but have been to both islands and St Lucia is much lusher than Antigua. St Lucia is a volcanic island with black sand on many beaches. The water is darker then your typical Caribbean beach. The beach outside of the sandals in Antigua is very nice, but it is right next to a public beach and many cruise ship passengers spend the day there. The island itself is very unremarkable compared to St Lucia.

Been to both, and going back to both. They are both nice but the Antigua beach is public and the Sandals Grande one is not. You can walk to Pigeon Island National Park from Sandals Grande St Lucia. Depending on the level of service you want, Grande St Lucian offers room service without having to pay for butler service which is nice. Antigua was more of a garden, tucked away feel but of course now there's the new Med Village which will be a new experience. The Grande St Lucian is more open, but the grounds are still very lovely. What kind of atmosphere are you looking for? They're both nice but quite different.
