Ti Kaye vs Jalousie vs Stonefield

I realize this is a pretty specific post, but I really need some help here! I'm planning our honeymoon for early June next year. Ti Kaye is what first drew me to St Lucia, but then saw Jalousie and Stonefield, and have read so many great reviews for all...

We are mid twenties, would like to be able to go out to dinner in town one or two nights, but not really interested in bars/clubs (except maybe a beachside bar during the day). Would love a secluded, romantic villa with great views (which is why Ti Kaye might be our best bet?). Don't have to be on the beach, but would like to be able to easily go to the beach and it not be crowded. We would definitely prefer to be able to have a drink at the resort/hotel bar after dinner (but again, doesn't need to be a crazy scene). I don't know if this info helps at all, but any advice or info that may not be obvious would be great. Thanks in advance for any help!

We are going to Ti Kaye in Jan. Have not been to St. Lucia before, so I can't offer the first-hand knowledge that others can, but I can say that we picked Ti Kaye because of the same interests you noted. We are celebrating our 10 year annivesary so are not newlyweds, but this is a second honeymoon for us. I saw a post somewhere in this forum where they said the majority of the guests were about my age (40s) but that there were also some honeymooning couples (your age). Congratulations on the upcoming marriage and honeymoon!

All three of your choices seem to be spoken very highly about on tripadvisor. Not having been to St. Lucia before either I can not give you great advice but we are going to Ti Kaye in January too. I choose it because it looked so romantic and private. It is also described as upscale camping which we love. The only info that I can offer you is the Ti Kaye is a great price and people say its a wonderful deal. I'm so excited, we've got less than a month till we leave. Congrats on the wedding.

We deceided to go with TiKaye after considering all of the choices...we are celebrating our 30th anniversary, and wanted something special...what drew me to making my decison ...first was all the great reviews on service,,,that can make or break a vacation, sounds like the staff goes over and above to make your visit a great one...next..loved the idea of the outdoor shower in every

cottage, the plunge pool, the hammock..and the views of the ocean

from our room...also read the snorkeling was great on their beach....

I was torn at first when looking at the views at Jalousie, they look breathtaking...but never read anything special about the service, and actually read in more than one post that the rooms wer looking tired/worn

taking all that into consideration we booked TiKaye for the beginning of May...we want r and r..sun...not into casinos and large hotels...

Good Luck

Wife and I went to Ti Kaye in November. It is an amazing place - sounds like what you want. Very relazing place with private villas overlooking the ocean. Beach was never crowed while we were there. Boats will come and go with a large number of people, but they generally stay on the far end of the beach and are gone within 45-minutes.

Check out my review.

Jalousie is beautiful - we ate lunch there on our land tour and spent over $60 for two sandwiches and two beers (Pitons). That is about twice what we paid at Ti Kaye beach restaurant/bar.

We were very happy with our choice. Great views; extarordinary people; beautiful beach; good price.

Be sure to look into some private tours (both on land and by sea). Check out this site for more info on how to do this. It is well worth the effort - cheaper and less people to tag along. Bunnyman is a good resource (and a pretty good guy too)! We tagged along with he and Mrs. Bunny along with another couple (DMMD). We all met on this site and had a wonderful time together. Better to be with two couples that 100 strangers.

We're going to be at TiKaye June 6-11th (staying at Sandals Grande 4 nights first) for our honeymoon. We chose it because of the great reviews, the quaint feel, and price. Also, many brides on the knot rave about TiKaye. It just looks so great!

I can't wait to go. Let me know if you book and are going the same week! Congrats on your wedding. Ours is May 31.

stayed at Stonefield - was very quiet. Much more 'individual' than Jalousie.... Local beach also very quiet... not really a 'destination', in the way that Jalousie is... although the snorkelling is not too bad.

June month might be more lively.

Beach is about a 10 minute walk... Easy to get cabs to local restaurants from Stonefield (can't speak for Ti Kaye).

Views from Stonefield were lovely...

We just got back from TiKaye and it can't get much better. The staff is one of the best we have ever had. The room was get, upgrade to a pr. pool. We stayed in B. The resort is just great. We enjoyed our visit very much. The food was B+ to solid A . For the islands, a nice size wine list with good pricing. The other 2 resorts are more money and tiKaye for the money was excellent.

Have stayed at Ti Kaye and Stonefield. Prefer Stonefield - secluded, fabulous views, wonderful beach nearby, easier access to restaurants off property than Ti Kaye, restaurant on property and larger units. Would definitely return there. Ti Kaye is nice, too, just not as romantic in our opinion and more people (guests). We preferred the lack of guests at Stonefield as it afforded more privacy.

I'm jumping in! This is DMMM that NCBulldog referred to. We loved TiKaye. It was so nice having our own little cottage to retreat to. The outdoor shower is always something I look for ( don't have them in Pennsylvania, haha ). We had Chale which is a beachfront with plunge pool and it had fabulous views. It was so nice to be able to make coffee and go sit on my own deck ( in my bathrobe ) and enjoy the morning. The deck and plunge pool also served nicely for the impromptu party we had at the end of our snorkel trip!! It was great to have the refrigerator in the room which they will stock at a reasonable price. The restaurant and beach bar were reasonably priced and the food was very good. We did "shut down the bar" one night!! The staff at TiKaye is so friendly. One thing I would recommend is to take a water taxi ( arranged through Ti Kaye ) up to the Rainforest Hideaway restaurant. The food, wine, and service were wonderful and the ride across the water under the starlit sky was amazing!! I have not been to Jalousie or Stonefield so I can't compare but we would totally recommend TiKaye!!!!!

PS - Hi Brian!
