Which hotel is the best to stay with a view of the Pitons? Also how are the beaches in that area compared to the rest of the island. Are there any all inclusives on the island besides Sandals. We are a close to 60 year old couple and think we'd not fit in at Sandals. My husband would love to stay somewhere with a view of the Pitons. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you.

Stonefield Estates, Ladera, La Haut Plantation, Jalousie Plantation (right between the Pitons) all have stellar views of the Pitons. You can do all inclusive at Jalousie, Stonefield and Ladera, not sure about La Haut. It is optional at any of them. I would personally pick Stonefield or Jalousie to stay at of the 4 I mentioned. The beach at Jalousie is the one most of these properties use. The sand is imported from Guyana, I think, and is very white. There is a snorkeling area at one end. Anse Chastanet beach is also close by.

Other mandatory all inclusives on the island include Le Sport, Almond Morgan Bay, Rendezvous, East Winds Inn, Almond Smugglers Cove. Many resorts have optional all inclusive.

If you decide not to go to the Piton resorts you would probably enjoy East Winds Inn or Le Sport on the other end of the island.

A big "HI" to my Rhode Island friends since I grew up there. Mmmmm the apples in North Scituate.

Best view - Jade Mountain - if you can afford it (also if you can deal with tons of stairs) as well as some rooms at Anse Chastanet. No other resort offers 270 degrees panoramas like these two. Check the respective reviews and photos on this portal. You can purchase all inclusive meal plan in most of the resorts.

I have to say, nevera that in Jalousie and Stonefield you actually see a big rocky wall right in front of you yes, there are Pitons - bu is it a view? Some consider it as such and I bet these resorts market it like that.

I've stayed in all above and liked Ladera and Stonefield are great properties but the views are unbeatable from the other side of Soufriere Bay.

ITA about Jade mountain and Anse Chastenet. The views of the pitons are unbeatable although the lack of AC might be a drawback but the views are amazing.

I am in my 40's and I know I would not fit in Sandals and the reviews just confirm it. Yes, they have a great website with photoshop pictures but at the price they are charging, peeps can do a lot better IMO

Thanks to all of you and nevera it's almost apple picking time in N Scituate- they are the best. I think I'll check out Ladera. Jade Mtn might just give my husband a heart attack when I saw those prices- yikes!!! But the views look gorgeous. I am a little worried about all the stairs at Anse Chastanet, but you;ve all given me a head start as to where to check into. Thanks again!!

Twowhiskers -

Don't know what stone wall you are speaking of. The view from our cottage at Stonefield was spectacular and unobscured of the Pitons. Too bad you did not have the same experience.

Nevera - Stone wall - it was Piton - right in my face.

Post pictures of the best view from Ladera/Stonefield/Jalousie, I will post mine from the other side of the bay and let others decide which is the no 1.

I had great experience in Stonefield - and in the other resorts as well.

Peace
