Place to stay near the rainforest

I'm looking for a place to stay close to the rainforest. Do not want typical hotel. Something unique and real to the island.

Your question gives no specifics about your trip, so I will offer some general observations. It sounds like you want to stay in the Southern part of St. Lucia. Maybe this map will help, http://www.skyviews.com/stlucia/map.html . You mention a close proximity to an unnamed rainforest, so I’ll guess you would enjoy a rural setting in a cottage without a lot of frills. With this in mind, I will recommend Balenbouche Estate. You may view their web site with this link, http://www.balenbouche.com . This is an unique plantation in the old St. Lucian style close to many natural attractions.
