Taxi Price & contact!

I've read lots of useful tips on navigating St. Lucia. I am on the Island NOW & shopping taxi for a day. I have been given prices of $35/ person to $220/ couple ... the range seems way too extreme. Can anyone provide some actual Names &/ or phone numbers ?????

Hoping to go on Tuesday (just 2 days away).

ANother option we were hoping for was the Jeep Safari- Sea combo. Have left 2 phone & 2 email messages (courteous) for Island Adventures ..... no reply.

Help appreciated... and thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge & sources.

it would be helpful to know where you are staying and where you want to go. Taxi rates are set by an association. They are based on 1-3 persons traveling. That's not to say that individual drivers won't barter - -they will !

We are staying at the Halcyon & want to go see:

Soufriere, Pitons, a waterfall, Marigot Bay, Anise Couchon/Chastanet.

Now we are considering the Island Adventures Jeep Land/Sea trip ... if they have enough to go out on Tuesday ($120USD each).

It skips the Botanical Gardens, but sounds a bit more adventuresome & perhaps less crowded (advise/ input/opinions appreciated as I have found few reviews).
