Looking for Beach Suggestions

We are on a cruise in Feb next year that is in St. Lucia port one day. We are looking for some ideas for active seniors. Zip lining seems a bit adventurous for us. Is there a nice beach with chairs to rent for the day and food and drink nearby? Most of the posts I have read are places that are a 30 minute taxi ride. Is there anything closer? thanks.

There is alot more to St. Lucia than our beaches - if none of these beach options suit you, I would highly recommend a land/sea tour to Soufriere to see the Pitons, maybe a plantation tour of where the cocoa is produced for Hersheys, maybe the botanical gardens - and any trip to St. Lucia should include a trip to see the Pitons. They are amazing.

Enjoy your visit = also, definitely check out the CruiseCritic page for St. Lucia shore excursions for more info and ideas- much more detail than here on TA for cruise passengers.

I would also recommend the tour down the west coast - it is extraordinarily scenic, beautiful and lush, particularly Soufriere

Otherwise head to Reduit Beach - by taxi, approximately 15 - 20 minutes away - it is the most popular tourist beach. Closer but much less busy is Choc Beach - beach loungers are available and the Wharf Restaurant & Bar has good food and drinks at reasonable prices. Choc Beach is about a 10 minute or less taxi ride from the cruise port
