You can drive down to the south side of Marigot Bay by car. There are several shops and restaurants there. Parking is sometimes a problem, there is a car park on your left at the foot of the hill as you enter Marigot. There is the Marina Village on your right at the water's edge, and one of our favourite spots for a simple lunch there is The Baguette Shop. Further along in the grounds of Discovery (if it is still open) is the Hurricane Hole Bar, which does bar lunches.

However, given that the drive from Rodney Bay to Soufriere will take about 2 hours, and that sunset is about 18:15, you need to make an early start from Rodney Bay to make the most of your day. In fact, you really need to be in Soufriere for lunchtime, and maybe leave Marigot for another day, when you can spend more time at Marigot.

If you decide to have lunch at Soufriere, places we like are Hotel Chocolat, or the beach restaurant at Anse Chastenet.

Thank you! It's a one way trip as staying in soufriere for a week so will try the marigot bay suggestions.

Thanks again

2 hours to get to Soufriere is a leisurely drive - it can be done in just over an hour if you're focussed on your driving, which you need to be along the mountainous coastline. The road is narrow in spots with no curbs or guardrails - be sure to keep you eyes on the road as it changes very quickly. From Marigot Bay it is about a 30 minute drive to Soufriere.
