Bon jou SouzMBSC,

To the North, within walking distance (though you'd probably taxi +/- USD 20/one-way up to 3 people)... Vigie Beach, Malabar Beach (Rendezvous Resort)

Within 1/2 hr drive and +/- USD 40/one-way Reduit Beach & Pigeon Island (Rodney Bay) to Cas en Bas (Gros Islet).

To the South...

Within 30 - 40 min drive and +/- USD 20 - 50/one-way La Toc (Castries) to Marigot Bay.

If you want the full-day beach tour hire a friendly taxi owner-operator to show you x-amount of beaches island-wide and return you to Castries by 3 - 4 PM. (+/- USD 400 (over water) +/- USD 250 (over land).

Bless Up! Paul

St Lucia is very beautiful and unique - if this will be your only visit to St Lucia, I very highly recommend taking a tour down the west coast to Soufriere - you will not be disappointed. One of the best tours is the land and sea tour from Spencer Ambrose - it gives you the best of both worlds, so to speak - goes by land and returns by sea.
