Water shortage Saint Lucia

We are currently in Marigot Bay Saint Lucia and there is no water supply. Some of the restaurants have had to close. We were planning on travelling round the island and wanted to know if any other parts of the Island have a water shortage.

Thanks for any advice

Bon jou only_visiting,

The WASCO water supply will be intermittant as the pumping station and mains are still being cleared.

The Choiseul District has WASCO pipe water.

The north of the island from Castries has WASCO pipe water.

And many of the island's mineral springs are flowing clear & clean...

Bless up! Paul

Latest update from the Water and Sewerage Company, Inc. (WASCO) today at 2:30 PM... please note only_visiting that the community of Sarrot has begun getting water so Marigot Bay should get a supply very shortly.

Water is flowing to the north, but the pressure is very low at present. We have a supply as far as the Landings at the foot of Cap Estate, however, the pressure is now high enough to turn on the pumps to Cap Estate.

We have our Morne and Ciceron pumps on so we can fill the tanks on the Morne, Bocage, Morne Du Don and Carielle in Castries. When these tanks are filled, we can begin to supply the Morne, Goodlands, Balata, Sunbilt, Morne du Don, Bocage, Carielle and other areas in Castries which get fed from those tanks.

The Toucousson system which supplies parts of Choiseul will be back on today. La Fargue, Reunion, Choiseul Village, and other areas in that vicinity will receive a supply shortly.

We should get a full report for Mon Repos, Patience, Micoud north, etc just after midday today.

Work is continuing in Vieux Fort. The crews have reached the intake and are clearing it so that Vieux Fort town can receive a supply. In the meantime, water is being trucked to the area.

Trucking of water is continuing for Anse la Raye and Canaries as a lot more work needs to be done on those systems.

The Bexon pump is on.

Sarrot has begun getting water so Marigot should get a supply shortly.

The pump at Barre Denis is being evaluated, but once the problems with it are rectified, we can begin pumping water to Barre Denis, Chopin, La Croix, Ti Colon and other communities in that area.

Delcer, Saltibus, Soufriere and Dennery are up and running.

Thanks Congoman! One if my friends told me that the area around Calabash Cove is now in too. Thanks for your updates which are very helpful.

I hope Marigot Bay, Anse Le Raye etc gets water soon. When one sees the areas they are having to work in and the terrain it is easy to see why this takes time!
