travel time by taxi from castries to Anse Chastanet beach

Cruise ship stopping in St Castries in early July. We were thinking about going to Anse Chastanet beach for the day. Does anyone know how long of a taxi ride that is and how difficult it is to get a return trip?

Thanks!

It is approximately 1.15 hours one way from Castries to Anse Chastenet. A taxi will cost $90US one way Castries to Soufriere, be sure to ask the driver if he will go to AC, as some will not drive out due to the road, and those who do usually charge a few extra $$ due to the road. Most drivers will wait for you if you want and return you to port, or there are taxis readily available at AC. You will want to leave at least 1.5 hours for the return as there is only one road to the ports, and it can have some pretty bad traffic. July is not so bad as it is low season.

Enjoy your visit.

Bon jou BradAwk,

Easiest is to hire a water taxi from Castries Harbor south to Anse Chastenet =/- 30 min one-way and no winding roads or traffic.

Check out Israel King www.israelkingwatertaxi.com (Rodney Bay), Daniel on Feel Good (Castries) 758 721 217 or Desi on Moby Dick (Soufriere) 758 714 2139.

There's no better way to see an island than from the sea...

Bless up! Paul
