Car Seats for Toddler

We are in the early stages of planning our trip to St. Lucia. We'll be bringing our 2 year old son along. Leaving his big, bulky car seat at home would be ideal. Do rental car companies on St. Lucia also rent car seats? If so, are they generally clean and how much extra is charged for them? Also, does anyone have any suggestions for the best car rental places that would have car seats? My concern is that I would reserve something and then get there and they don't have one. Thank you.

Some of the car rental companies do provide the car seat for kids, and some will even provide for free if you rent a vehicle for a week or more. Here's one example:

This company has some of the better rates on the island and provides good service. You can reserve your vehicle in advance and they will bring it to the airport and meet you there to make sure that you are all set up. If you request something such as a child seat, talk to them about your needs when making a reservation and then before your trip just remind that (via email) about your special need. You shouldn't have any problem.
