Pigeon Island

Hi, we are a family of 3 who will be staying at cocopalm. Is it cheaper to take a water taxi to pigeon island or regular taxi? Will we have to walk down to bay garden beach resort to catch a water taxi?

We are interested in snorkeling and hiking the 2 hills but dont want to carry our snorkeling gear around while hiking. Is there anyplace we can leave our snorkeling gear while hiking? Thanks.

Leave it with the people working the front entrance. They are very accommodating.

Make sure you have $5 US per person to enter the park. If you get a water taxi, you can get one anywhere on the beach -- just keep your eyes open for the water taxis. You don't need to go to Bay Gardens. The folks who work at the entrance will probably hold your stuff for you while you hike around. It's one of our favorite places to visit. Have lunch at one of the two restaurants in the park. We really like the one on the water but there is one in the interior as well (Captain's Cellar).

I think regular taxi would be fine.

undoubtedly the land taxi will be cheaper, though it's nice to the see Pigeon Island, so maybe take a water taxi there and a land taxi for the return trip.
