There's a whole bunch. What are you looking for in a timeshare? What do you want from your vacation?

Great Bay Beach Hotel & Casino •

Oyster Bay Beach Resort •

Pelican Resort Club •

Oyster Bay Beach Resort •

Pelican Resort Club •

Royal Islander Club La Plage •

Sunterra's Flamingo Beach Resort •

St. Maarten Sea Palace •

Sunterra's Royal Palm Beach Resort •

These are my options. Last year I booked La Plage but was talked out of it due to the low flying planes and switched to Punta Cana last minute. I think this is beautiful resort but the planes freak me out- I don't know if it really effects the vacation-& how often they fly.

A friend owns at Flamingo - not a 5 star but nice he says-What's your opinion (what's the difference between Flamingo & Royal Palm) are they near each other?

OBBR looks nice but not near things based on reviews

SOOOOOOOO Confused..

I would like convience, nice beach, nice resort, near things I don't have to drive to, (or do I need a car?)

Thanks

undecided.

From your list I would recommend the following

Royal Palm

Flamingo

Oyster Beach

Royal Palm and Flamingo are fairly close to each other and on Simpson Bay. Personally I prefer this area due to proximity to restaurants etc. The beach at the Royal Palm is so so, but okay. Flamingo is about the same but further around the bay with maybe a little better surf and maybe a better view. Simpson Bay also has its drawbacks such as traffic problems.

Oyster Beach is on Dawn Beach and a little more removed. Dawn Beach is a very nice beach though and one I am sure you will enjoy a lot.

However most people that go to St. Marten will say they rent a car to visit many of the other popular beaches and don't limit themselves to just one.

I would do a search on the forum for comments on all these resorts and go from there.

The link below is one for the Royal Palm.

You can try this one as well for info about the Flamingo and Royal Palm

Agree with the above poster. Those are your best choices. I too like to stay in Simpson Bay so you can walk to many great restaurants and bars. But we rent a car and travel all over the island.

Can I jump on this post and ask about my available timeshare choices:

Divi Little Bay

Great Bay

Trade Winds

Pelican Bay

Thanks so much - we love a great beach with activities if possible - not too far from beach bars, rest, fun. We will rent a car if necessary.

Have only been to St. Marten on Cruises for a day

Thanks for any input

Of your choices, Divi has the best beach, but not really walking distance to anything. Close to shopping in Philipsburg. A very nice property with 3 pools, a couple of restaurants, a store or two.

Pelican is walking distance to many restaurants and bars.

Isn't Trade Winds a cruising Club???

Great Bay is near Divi and doesn't get very good reviews. You can walk to Philipsburg for shopping.

You really will want to rent a car no matter where you stay. There's so much to see and do!

Thanks for your advice - Divi is the best deal for us so sounds like it would be okay.

I have stayed at the Oyster Bay Beach Resort and it is far away from everything but it is a great place. Very clean great parking great staff. The pool is the best part I LOVED the pool. It was a very relaxing place to be.

We own at the Wyndham Sapphire Beach Resort which is nice. We've toured MANY timeshares over the years and this one is one of the better ones (room wise. Service could be better but has improved over the years). Another that I would persoanlly buy is the Atrium.
