It's always difficult to say what's "best" for someone else - we have 37 beautiful beaches, many with restaurants & bars, many without.

The ones nearest port are Great Bay & Little Bay. These two have vendors on them.

The famous clothing optional beach is Orient Beach and requires a short taxi ride of aabout 30 minutes. Here you will find many vendors.

Some of the less busy beaches are Long, Mullet, Rouge, Plum, Friar's and require a taxi ride of about 30 minutes. Here you will need to make arrangements to be picked up and taken back to port in advance.

If you just want to sit on a sandy beach with no travel hassles I'd go for Great Bay or Little Bay.

Great bay is right where the cruise tenders will take you. That would be the only walking distance beach for you. All others will require some type of transportation to get to.
