St Maarten bound this weekend--questions/suggestions

So excited to be heading to St. maarten this weekend. wish i would have found this forum earlier since its been so helpful. A few questions:

-Staying at Atrium beach resort---Any thoughts on the place?

-Is the traffic really that bad from airport to resort? seems close on map

-Traveling with a 2 yr old- butterfly farm and zoo i am aware of but does anyone have anywhere else to take him? Also is it worth going on a ferry to anguilla with him? (no snorkeling or scuba diving)

-Seen alot of forums about car rentals, good and bad. any last suggestions?

-anyone know where a may be able to see the pay per view fight on saturday (Manny Paquiao vs Marquez)

-close restaurants to try out?

I know its alot so whatever you can answer would be great.

Thx

Love Atrium. Right in the heart of things. Right next door on the beach is Buccaneer Beach Bar. Friday and Sunday night is family night. Lots of kids, fireball on the beach.

Traffic has gotten better, but if you're coming on Saturday, it a big arrival day so it may be backed up some. if you are lucky it will take you about 10 - 15 minutes to get to Atrium.

You should arrange your car before you go. If you do a quick search you'll find out all about car rentals!

Took our 2 yr old to pinel island! Water was so low and calm she could just walk in and play (with floaties). And they had cool iguanas to see. The place we ate brought her food out quickly and first! Enjoy!

Enjoy the Atrium It was great 10 years ago when we stayed there. Do not eat around there head out to Grand Case. Much better food. Right there in Simpson bay you get exactly what you can get in the states. Try some of the Lolo's

No issue with trafic except around the time for the bridges and 30 min at 9 am and 5 pm.

Insteda of Angilla go to Prickly pear it is a great trip.

Any car except Thruify and the local one. We have liked Eurocar.

Better food in GC? LOL Different, not better. Lots of incredible resto's right there in Simpson Bay. Most of it not like anything you will find in the states.
