first time advice please

Hello. I am planning a short 5 day trip for my 72 year old Mom and my 18 year old daughter. It will be three generations of women. I am on a tight budget and am foregoing the usual big resorts. I saw many small resorts with little efficiency kitchens right on the beach. I have never been to St Martin and know nothing about the safety of staying in a smaller property. All we need is to be on the beach, in s clean neat room. Should I be looking anywhere specifically? We are planning to go end of may so dont have too long to plan.

Oyster pond is a great area to stay, with many local restaurants at very reasonable prices, there are also a few small hotels that are worth checking out, st under or close to 100 per night, They are balcons d'oyster pond, sol hotel, and le Mississippi, check out reviews for hotels in oyster pond.this area is away from honkey tonk areas of island, and the views are stunning

Flamingo, Atrium, Royal Palm, all timeshares in Simpson Bay. Close and walking distance to restaurants, casino and beach front. All have full kitchens to help save eating out. Grocery store a walk away.

This will require that you rent a car, but look for a rent by owner at the Mont Vernon at the north end of Orient Beach.

There are several people who rent - in our case we rent from a couple of brothers who have 16 units, most with a sea view from the balcony.

I agree with bobcat. At divi you have the beach, night entertainment and location near town. It is a family friendly resort with the security you are looking for.

How far is the casino from Royal Palm? Is it walking distance and is it safe to walk it at night?
