Dutch Side - Where to Stay?

I've narrowed it down to the Dutch Side, and ruled out Sonesta Maho Beach Resort for the airport noise. We are a married couple in our 30's with no kids planning on going in April or May 2007. Our priorities are nice beach and pool with proximity to restaurants and bars (don't care about casinos). Thanks!

We usually stay at the Pelican or the Sunterra Flamingo Beach. The beach is ok, not really a great one, but most of the better beaches are on the French Side. These resorts are close to many restaurants and near Bucaneer Beach Bar.

I have never stayed at the Sonesta Maho, but I really don't think the airport noise is that bad there.

Me too. I'd pick any in the SImpson Bay area. Our favorite is the Atrium, but Flamingo, Pelican or LaVista are in the same neighborhood. Anything walking distance to Bucaneer Beach Bar is a great thing! Tons of great restaurants within walking distance or a 5 minute drive.
