Le Ti Provencal in Grand Case is the best. Actually you really can't go wrong with any of the Grand Case restaurants.

There are over 300 restaurants on the island, I believe. The bad ones don't last long. As Barcann says, give us a hint of what you want. $$$$$$ gourmet cuisine, seafood, local fare, great burgers?

My party of 4 returned from St. Martins last night..

We had a very nice dinner at Le Charolais in downtown Maho (a mile or so from the SXM airport), they serve Prime Rib, Filet Mignon, Rib Eyes as well as seafood.

La Gondola Restaurant in the Atlantis Casino in Cupecoy is a little more pricey but the service was on par with any upper class restaurant and it has a sophisticated atmosphere. The Bliss Restaurant at the end of the SXM Airport runway is located directly on the beach and lunch without alcohol could run $50+ USDand dinner will be substantially higher. There is a little beach side bar & restaurant you drive past just as you near the Bliss Restaurant, you can eat drink and listen to pilots and watch aircraft arrive and land at the SMX airport.

You can also find Subway, McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC'S as well as Domino's Pizza on the Dutch side of the island.

We also enjoyed the $5 USD lunches served at some of the beaches from little barbeque stands and the $4 USD ribs available

in many locations on the island.

We also found that most restaurants served good food and reasonable prices for the most part. You can expect to pay 20 to 30+ USD for a ribeye steak.

Hope this helps.

Oyster Bay - for one of your really nice dinners be sure to go to Tabba Khady. One of the best meal's we've ever had.

On the other end of the spectrum is Dingy Dock bar at Capt Olivers Marina. Great little place with an incredible happy hour 4 - 7. $1 beers or mix your own mixed drinks. Great food, ribs, fish etc for $10 - $14.

In Orleans (the closest town), give Yvettes a try. Local creole dishes, very good, very reasonable.

IN the area near your hotel, there are several good restaurants.

Mr. Busby's a beachside bar next to your hotel becomes Daniel's by the Sea at night..it is an absolutely fabulous Italian restaurant..one of my favorites on the island.

Also close by is Tabba Khady.. a beautiful setting with exotic excellent food.

There also is a simple French bistro type place across the street from Tabba Khady.. it is called Le frigate and has good simple food..I like their pizza there..

you are about a 15 minute drive from Orleans and there is a terrific local restaurant there called Yvette's.... it is not expensive and the food is very good... I think they are closed on Wednesdays.

If you want to spend a lot some night, go to any of the restaurants in grand case.. expensive but truly gourmet dining..

There is an Italian restaurant there also, called Spiga, which is excellent.

There are so many good restaurants on the island, it is hard to pick out just a few.

be sure to try the lo los in grand case for good local food...

In the Marigot Marina, try Tropicana..another one of my favorites...

enjoy!

We stayed at Oyster Bay as well. Never ate on site. We were disappointed with Daniel's, poor service, average food. Better Italian food in Grand Case at II Nettunio. Would also recommend La California. Yvette's and Tabba Khady were also great.

Ate at Spiga in Grand Case during our visit last week. It was amazing!!!! Bill for two came to ~$80 (USD) with wine. All the pasta was homemade.

I would highly recommend the gnocchi!!!!

I almost forgot. We had an amazing breakfast at Zee Best in Simpson Bay, ~$30.00 (USD) for two. It is located after the drawbridge behind the Simpson Bay pharmacy (we had difficulty finding it at first). Would recommend the Ham and Cheese omelette with french bread toast. The croissants were amazing too. Wish we could have taken some home to our friends in the states.

Zee Best is soon to have three locations. However as of last week, the Atlantis casino location was not yet opened and the Marigot location was closed for a few weeks. All locations might be opened by the end of June.
