We loved Pelican - Rooms were simple and not flashy... Great Pool with a Bar in the pool..And a real good location for activities since a lot of the Sunset Cruises seem to leave from there...

Also, it's a gated community with plenty of parking which I hear could be a nightmare..

Leaving in 2 days and we're staying on the French side this time.. We'll see!!!!

But, we were thinking of going back to Pelican next year....

Divi is great if you can get a renovated room.

We haven't stayed at the Divi, I feel it is too far from everything.

The Pelican, sometimes a little dated, but right in the middle of everything. We will be there in October!

Agree - the location of Pelican is great. Divi is especially nice if you want to spend time at your resort.

Just got back . Like I said, we stayed on the French side this time at a cheaper hotel (jardin de Chevrise) - Gotta say we missed the Pelican a bit.

Now I have something to compare it to and have been to the Island 2x...

We spent some time this trip on the Pelican grounds and I'd Highly recommend it _ especially for families with kids...

We wound up doing the Sunset Cruise out of Pelican anyway - $10.00 each all you can drink - Great Bargain!!!!

I have stayed at the Pelican Resort several times. There is nothing flashy about the Pelican except its casino. What it is is clean, friendly, great location, and they have Marcos on the beach. Not all rooms have ocean views and not all the studios are desirable but otherwise they have a nice beach thats great for children, tennis courts, several pools and several restaurants within walking distance. If you want to be close to everything but not in its backyard then the Pelican Resort fits the bill.I hope this info was useful. Best of Luck!
