Transport to beach

Hi folks,

We are visiting Tortola on a cruise,in January, but only in dock 8-00 -14-00.

Would like to visit nice beach, am thinking Smugglers Cove or Brewers Bay ,for the morning.

How long will a taxi take to get to either of these beaches, and how much will the fare be for 4 adults ?

Is it easy to get taxi back, or is it best to get same taxi to come back for us, ( not paying untill return journey).

Many thanks for any advise.

Hi Annie,

There will be plenty of taxis, safari trucks, and buses at the dock, Depending on traffic, they will be able to transport you to either of those beaches in 30 mins or less. I'm not certain of their rates, will probably be around $25/person.

When we travel to the BVI, we've used Lorilee to pick you us up at the airport and drive us to the West End ferry dock, and she's been very reliable. Her cell # is (284) 499-2640.

Are you thinking about going to one beach in the morning and the other in the afternoon? There are vendors at Smugglers who selling sandwiches and drinks, although they are not always there. Nicole's is a sandwich shop at Brewer's that sells delicious hamburgers. You might want to go to Smugglers in the morning and Brewer's in the afternoon. I think you are better off using the same taxi service for your travels. You could also consider renting a car for 8 hrs.

Have a great trip, alashas http://www.youtube.com/user/honeymoon2
